🆕 Why is it important to work with the thoracic diaphragm?

The thoracic diaphragm is a musculofascial structure that divides the torso into the thorax and abdomen. It is involved in the act of breathing and directly affects the health of the internal organs!

👉🏻The work of the diaphragm can be compared to the work of a piston. A person breathes an average of 17-18 times a minute, during an inhalation the diaphragm muscles contract, its dome descends, there is a shift of all organs downward, and the lungs on the contrary expand. Thus, during an inhalation the diaphragm can be lowered by several centimeters, in athletes the range of displacement can reach up to 12 centimeters!

This allows to release excessive tension from the torso, improve blood circulation, tissue nutrition in the abdominal cavity, perform drainage, because everything that is mobile in the body is healthy🍃

❗️ Often the diaphragm is spasmed, “blocked” due to psycho-emotional tension and heaviness in the pelvis and abdomen.

Working with it is one of the key tasks in working on yourself, all the protocols I give in training include techniques for this area.
