🔥 How the withers form and why is it called the ‘widow's hump’?

The withers is the body's adaptation to chronic tension in the upper thoracic spine. And where tension is present, blood flow is impaired and stagnation forms.

This is why it is useless to remove the withers with massage alone.

❓ Where does the tension come from?

✅ The heart ligaments are attached to the upper thoracic vertebrae. The oesophagus, trachea and diaphragm pass through here.

Everything in the body is interconnected in a cascade, from the tailbone, pelvis to the head. All organs are connected through ligaments, vessels, and tension can be transmitted throughout the body.

If:
🔻 the diaphragm and the pericardium in tension
🔻 the oesophagus is contracted
🔻 heart ligaments are tense

it puts stress on the thoracic vertebrae.

As a result, the withers form and the neck begins to shorten and fall into the rib cage.

It is also influenced by our emotional state. The formation of the withers is promoted by worries and stress - everything that we take to heart, in which we are disappointed. Hence the folk name of the pathology ‘widow's hump’😱

In order to prevent and remove the withers, you need to work comprehensively with the whole body and release the internal spring of tension with faceplasty:

☑️ work the legs, pelvis, lower back.
☑️ do special thoracic exercises to open up the rib cage
☑️ perform neck stretching exercises
